We are seeking a skilled Wig Specialist who is passionate about wig customization, installs, styling, and client care.
Role Overview
The Wig Specialist is responsible for providing professional wig services, including installs, lace customization, styling, maintenance, and client education. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to create natural‑looking, flawless results.
Key Responsibilities
- Install wigs using glue, glueless, elastic band, and other secure methods
- Customize lace frontals, closures, and full‑lace wigs
- Bleach knots, pluck hairlines, tint lace, and style units
- Cut, curl, straighten, and shape wigs to client preference
- Provide wig maintenance services (washing, deep conditioning, restyling)
- Consult with clients to understand desired look and recommend the best options
- Educate clients on wig care, longevity, and proper maintenance
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation
- Uphold Nini‑Hair’s professionalism and customer‑care standards
- Assist with product recommendations and upselling when appropriate
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Wig Specialist or Wig Stylist
- Strong knowledge of lace wigs, closures, frontals, and install techniques
- Ability to create natural, realistic hairlines
- Skilled in styling: curls, waves, layers, cuts, and heat‑safe techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Portfolio or Instagram showcasing previous work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a salon environment
- Knowledge of extensions, braiding, or protective styles
- Ability to work with different hair textures
- Familiarity with booking systems
